Kindergarten - We have been learning about the difference between fiction and nonfiction. Practice at home during a bedtime story!
1st grade - We just finished our very first research unit on penguins and had a blast. Check out some information on penguins by clicking on this link.
2nd graders have been learning about to look up a book on OPALs using a keyword. We are practicing to become independent library users in 3rd grade.
3rd graders are currently showing their knowledge of digital citizenship by creating a comic strip on Google Drawings.
4th graders have been learning how to do research by figuring out keywords from a research question. Using keywords, students find books and appropriate websites to help answer a research question.
5th graders are doing a biography project. Instead of creating a poster on their person, they are creating a "Fakebook" profile on their person after collecting information.

These drives are to help support 5th grade student projects to spread kindness and help others. Please bring books and nonperishable food items to the Ellsworth Media center, where they will be collected and donated to local charities.

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fun and safe Halloween. November is one of my favorite months because we celebrate Thanksgiving. While I love feasting with my family, many of you may not know that Thanksgiving has a very rich history. Check out the below video to learn a little about the history of Thanksgiving.

Book circulation has begun! Please remember that all library books are due back 7 days after library class.

All library books are due back Friday, June 3rd. Students who do not bring back their books will not receive their report cards.
